Producer

I have produced the AppTV show, Connected Cultures, seasons 8-10. In this show, we explore different holidays and celebratory months and how they relate to the High Country. Our goal with these episodes are to help App State students find a place where they belong, by finding like-minded individuals with the same moral and spiritual beliefs as them.

While producing for Connected Cultures, I

  • Anchor the show by interviewing guests, following the teleprompter, and transitioning the show from segment to segment.
  • Perform on-camera talent for multiple segments, including: anchoring, Woman on the Street, baking/cooking segments, craft segments and event coverage.
  • Operate multiple types of equipment to ensure that all technical aspects of the show function properly.
  • Lead a group of people to produce the show by delegating tasks to crew of five students.
  • Reach out to potential interview subjects to facilitate engaging content for the show.
  • Edit each segment and clip them to full episodes.
  • Create social media content and thumbnails for every episode.
